I went to a beautiful talk by the authors of Welcome to Friendship today @Stanton Library, and it made me think about how important friendships are, especially during school transitions. Starting a new school is exciting and challenging! Finding your people, feeling that you belong, and still being yourself isn't always easy. As an adolescent counsellor, I see how much this matters! Sometimes, one genuine friendship can make all the difference. And belonging really starts with being yourself.
